Tim Burton fan? Need something to do with the kids on Family Day? Hit up the TIFF Bell Lightbox on Monday, featuring free screenings of Tim Burton produced/directed films like The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and Alice in Wonderland, free access to the Burton Exhibit and Burton-themed workshops, Sherlock Jr. in Concert, Singin’ in the Dark and more. LEMMY- 49% Mother F**ker. 51% Son of a Bitch
Documentary about legendary heavy metal musican Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. At 62 years old, the rocker is showing no signs of slowing down and this doc aims to prove that. Featuring interviews with fellow musicians, peers and fans, Lemmy is sure to be an interesting journey for metalheads and norms alike. Watch the trailer here.

Wednesday Night Fright Nights: From Dusk Till Dawn
The first part of the TUC’s ongoing Wednesday Night Fright Nights series features the twisted Takashi Miike classic Audition. With the help of a producer friend, a middle-aged widower holds an audition to find a new wife. But the object of his desire is not as perfect as she seems. Not for the squeamish or the faint of heart.

Classics from the Vault presents: King Kong (1933)
The grand daddy of all monster movies, The Fox will screen the black & white classic King Kong on 16mm this week. The film features Canadian starlet Fay Wray as the proverbial damsel in distress and incredible stop-motion effects by Willis O’Brien that would go on to inspire a generation of filmmakers. The evening will also include shorts, cartoons and prizes courtesy of Rue Morgue Magazine.

CINSSU’s Free Friday Cult Night! Meet The Feebles, Q and Miami Connection
Violent, sex crazed, drugged out muppets, David Carradine fighting a dragon on the Chrysler Building in Manhattan and ninjas vs. guys who open letters often. U of T’s Cinema Studies Students Union is presenting an exciting triple bill of schlock to celebrate reading week. Check your brains at the door and be ready to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.

The Comedy Show Room presents Gavin Stephens at Jezebel

Breakin’ – The Breakdance Classic Hits Toronto
Before Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo there was Breakin’ – the breakdance movie that started it all. Filled with more breakdance battles than any other film put to celluloid, Breakin’ will remind you why you either hated or loved the 1980s. The film also features a pre-Bloodsport Jean-Claude Van Damme as an uncredited dude dancing in the background.
