Contest: Win PROMETHEUS on Blu-ray!

Good afternoon once again to our wonderful Dork Shelf readers. Looks like it’s time for us to launch another great contest into orbit, and this time the wonderful folks at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have passed along a copy of Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS on Blu-ray that we will be giving away to one lucky reader!

Archeologist couple Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) discover a star map that they interpret as an invitation from humanity’s forerunners, the “Engineers.”  Determined to find out more about them, the couple boards the scientific vessel Prometheus, created and funded by Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), CEO of Weyland Corporation.  Lead by mission director Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron) and monitored by Weyland’s android David, the team of explorers find a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth and embark on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe where they fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Prometheus blasts off onto DVD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and digital download on Tuesday, October 9th, but we want to give you a chance at winning the 4-Disc Collector’s Edition, loaded with over seven hours of bonus material including an Alternate Opening and Ending, Deleted and Alternate Scenes, access to “Peter Weyland’s Files,” commentary by directors and writers, a cutting-edge Prometheus Weyland Corp. Archive Second Screen App and more.

For your chance to win, simply email contest@dorkshelf.com with the answer to the following trivia question in the subject line:

Weyland’s android David is played by which renowned actor?

Please only one entry per household. Contest is open to all residents of the United States and Canada. For additional chances to win, simply like the contest announcement on our Facebook page and/or re-Tweet the announcement from our Twitter! Deadline for entries is 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, October 16th.

Good luck, and as always stay tuned to Dork Shelf for all the latest news, reviews, and interviews in the film, TV, home video, gaming, and comics world. And please do come back for all of our great contests as we will have many more in the near and distant future.
