The teaser trailer for Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens — based on the graphic novel of the same name — has hit the web. Set in 1873, the film sees the small town of Absolution in the Arizona Territory attacked by mysterious invaders. Cowboys & Aliens stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Western genre, but Hollywood rarely produces them anymore. So I’m very happy to see that Favreau is getting a big budget to tackle the genre and putting a cool sci-fi twist on it. It didn’t work well for Wild Wild West or Jonah Hex, but maybe (hopefully!) the third time is a charm.
