The big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy‘s post-apocalyptic novel The Road finally has a trailer. Director John Hillcoat, who made the excellent Aussie Western The Proposition, has been hard at work on The Road for nearly two years and his vision looks to be very faithful to the McCarthy’s novel.
Initially slated for release last year, the film was pushed back to October 2009 for unknown reasons. Cormac McCarthy’s novel is one of the best books I’ve read in the past year. If the movie is half as good as the novel, we’re in for a treat… a brutal, stark, cannibal-filled treat.
